(STDF) Authority announces the opening of applications for the third research call for the Basic Science Grant, which aims to stimulate scientific research in the field of basic sciences and build innovative research groups capable of facing challenges, bridging the technological gap, and contributing to build a strong scientific base in basic sciences, which will be reflected in the level of scientific research and its impact in Egypt.

General conditions for the call:

- Financing the best research proposals with a maximum of 3 million pounds for Egyptian researchers in the fields of basic sciences (mathematics - chemistry - physics - geology) for a period of not less than two years and not more than three years.

The technical proposals submitted to the Authority are arbitrated on a competitive basis by arbitrators specialized in the scientific field of the projects submitted in accordance with the rules of the Authority.

Deadline for receiving research proposals: June 24, 2024 - 2:00 PM.
