In line with the national direction to enhance the research system within Egyptian universities, and in support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities’ efforts to strengthen the research capacities of faculty members and researchers, as well as to develop their skills in accessing reliable scientific information through digital platforms,

the Digital Libraries Unit of the Supreme Council of Universities , in cooperation with the Digital Libraries Unit of Minia University , is pleased to invite faculty members, assistant staff, and researchers to attend a Digital Libraries Session ,

as part of the training program on utilizing information resources through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB).

Session Topics :

* Overview of the services provided by the Digital Libraries Unit at the Supreme Council of Universities and its role in supporting research activities.

* Presentation of the services of the Egyptian Universities Libraries Consortium and how to benefit from its available resources.

* Discussion and analysis of key new bibliometric indicators included in the 15th promotion cycle criteria.

* Addressing methods for verifying scientific journals and avoiding predatory or unethical publishing practices.

This session aims to empower researchers with modern research tools and raise awareness about the importance of verifying academic publishing sources, thereby enhancing the quality of scientific output and strengthening the global standing of Egyptian universities.
