Minia University participated in the Sports Day organized by the Central
Military Region in Cairo, with students from several Egyptian universities, as
part of the university’s efforts to support student activities and develop
youth both physically and mentally, while promoting national belonging and
teamwork.
The event was attended by Vice President for
Education and Student Affairs, along with several military and executive
leaders, under the supervision of the university’s Sports and Student Affairs
departments. The program included welcoming the delegations, introductory
presentations, a documentary film about the military region, and an awareness
lecture on the role of the armed forces in maintaining national security.
The sports competitions featured basketball,
volleyball, and five-a-side football, with Minia University’s basketball and
volleyball teams winning first place. Outstanding teams and students were
honored with awards and medals in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected
excellent organization and the university’s continuous support for sports and
cultural activities, fostering discipline and teamwork among students.

importance of such events in developing students’ skills, strengthening team
spirit and national identity, and reiterated the university’s commitment to
supporting sports and cultural activities, as well as encouraging student participation
in purposeful event
