Minia University has achieved a new academic and research milestone by advancing in the U.S. News Best Global Universities Ranking, one of the leading international rankings that evaluates universities based on research output, academic reputation, research impact, and international collaboration.

University President Essam El-Din Farhat announced that the university ranked 747th globally in the 2026 edition, out of 2,250 universities included in the ranking, and among more than 25,000 universities worldwide. It also ranked 32nd in Africa and 14th among Egyptian universities.

He highlighted strong subject-level performance, including top global positions in Energy and Fuels, Pharmacology, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Clinical Medicine.

The President emphasized that this achievement reflects the university’s strategy to enhance scientific research, increase international publications, and strengthen global collaboration.

He also congratulated faculty members, researchers, and staff for their efforts, affirming the university’s commitment to further advancing research excellence and international presence.
